American Express True Cashback Card

why get it:

1.5% unlimited cashback including Grabpay top-ups

Best for:

Those who still want a card that gives cashback for certain e-wallet top-ups.

UOB Preferred Platinum Visa Card

why get it:

4 miles per dollar on online and mobile payments in $5 spending blocks. One of the highest-earning miles cards suitable for everyone because there’s no heavy spending requirements. Capped at $1100 monthly spend.

Best for:

Miles-chasers with majority spend on online and mobile channels.

DBS Woman’s World Mastercard

why get it:

4 miles per dollar card for online spending with fewer exceptions than the UOB PPV.

Sign up perks:

Get S$200 cashback or up to 38K miles with your first DBS/POSB Credit Card with codes ‘200CASH’ or ‘ALTAF’.

Best for:

An alternative to the UOB PPV Card. It’s debatable which is the better card because of the finer nuances on miles redemption process, expiry and other factors which are not covered here.

why get it:

Receive up to $100 GrabFood vouchers via SingSaver for new OCBC cardholders.

Best for:

Those who spend $800 monthly and want to get a nice rebate on top of their spending and meet the requirements of OCBC 365 accounts.

Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Card

why get it:

1.5% cashback for all eligible spends. No min. spend and no cashback cap.

Best for:

Similar to Citibank’s Cashback+ card, this card is a great core card in your wallet for purchases that don’t qualify for miles (e.g. small purchases).

Standard Chartered Rewards+ Credit Card

why get it:

Earn rewards for dining and travel related purchases, approximately 1.45 miles per dollar on dining. No annual fees for first 2 years means you can sign up and use as a secondary card to your main cashback/miles/rewards card.

Best for:

Good card to earn miles – 4 mpd is one of the highest miles earn rates for online and retail shopping. If you prefer miles over cashback then this is the card for you.. 4 miles per dollar can be a good complementary addition to your Citi Cashback+ card.
