Giveaway: Win a 1-year free subscription to StocksCafe!

“It’s a pain to manually keep track of my portfolio in spreadsheets”

If you are an investor (especially one based in Singapore), and if you have experienced pain when doing your own investments, StocksCafe is a nice and comprehensive solution to manage your investments in one place — you can read my full independent review here.

To give you a brief introduction, StocksCafe was launched as a personal project (similar to Betterspider!) to help investors through their financial journey from recording portfolio transactions to dividend tracking, stock screening, and investment analysis.

In any case, if you haven’t used StocksCafe before, we are launching a giveaway for a one-year subscription to Friends of StocksCafe (worth S$39). You can check out the benefits here.

This is Betterspider’s very first giveaway and I am super excited to launch it to my readers.

To join this giveaway, we want to hear your thoughts on what are some of your biggest challenges in your investment or financial journey, and features you wished your portfolio tracker had (if you are already using one).

Here is how the draw will go:

  • Each completed question = 1 draw chance (capped at 5 chances)
  • Like Betterspider on Facebook = 1 draw chance
  • Follow Betterspider on Twitter = 1 draw chance
  • Subscribe to Betterspider on Telegram = 1 draw chance
  • High-quality responses = 2 additional draw chances
  • The maximum number of draw chances is 10 per individual

The survey link will be open from today until 30 June 2020. Note that the responses are all completely optional and please understand that there is no pressure to fulfill any of the above.

The winner will be announced by mid-July. A promo code will be given to the winner and it is valid for new accounts only. For those with existing holdings, you can export your transactions and reimport them. For those that did not win, don’t worry, you will get additional draw chances (in future giveaways so stay tuned for that!).

Let’s talk about bonds

I am going to admit that talking about bonds will be a dry and boring topic, because bonds generally do not give exciting returns, do not fluctuate as wildly as stocks, and give an extremely predictable and steady stream of income. Why then, do some people get so interested in bonds? Should they be an integral part of our portfolio? Read on to find out.
